Jessica (21), Megan (17), and Rebecca (16) began lessons in classical violin and piano at age five. Nearly three years ago, The Lovell Sisters strayed from their classical roots to pursue the instrumentation and improvisation of traditional music. Jerry Douglas' "Slide Rule" was the first Americana album they heard, inspiring Megan to play the resophonic guitar.
In this short set from the Cabin stage, the Sisters' choices range from swing to bluegrass.
I saw this show, another good Cabin set. You think you`re going to see 3 cute sisters sing harmony. What you don`t expect is the blistering dobro. There is solid musicianship with this group!
