What a kick off for the first of three nights at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.

Shakedown street into New Minglewood Blues got this show going on a great note. Loser was intense and it lead us straight into Money For Gasoline a new RatDog hit already well on it’s way to becoming a classic.

Oh yeah, during Birdsong and all though the second set, a bunch our friends came out to join in on the fun! Just look at the list…

Jimmy Herring, Our good friend, was in town and joined the stage and helped out Bob and the boys with a great Birdsong and hung out for Tuesday Blues and Aiko-Aiko. After the break Jimmy stepped back in for a little Uncle John’s Band, truly awesome.

Tom Pope joined his good buddy Jay Lane on stage for a resounding Drums/Jam and rejoined the stage to throw down on Turn On Your Lovelight and helped us finish the night with a Touch of Grey, Tom, always a pleasure!

Warren Haynes, what an incredible performer. When this guy is on stage he has your attention. Sugaree brought the house down. Warren rocked on through Birdsong and hit it hard in the Turn on Your Lovelight mega jam.

Speaking of the Turn on Your Lovelight mega jam we also were joined by Dana Fuchs from Across the Universe and Steve Molitz from Particle jammed on keyboards.

Our little treat for attending all three shows this year… A Franklin’s Tower Trilogy. It all started tonight with a sublime acoustic Franklin. What a delight!

The Beacon Theatre shows have become an annual RatDog event. Don’t miss your chance to own all three nights! See you next year!

Grabbed all three shows, this music is really great. I wish I could hit Charleston on Friday night. Keep jamming America. Coconut Phil, Living free.
