Way down upon the Wanee Festival is where we ended our RatDog Spring 08 tour. There was music in the air all day long as people strolled around to the various musical backgrounds that could be heard all throughout the campgrounds.
People were making there way to the main area all day and I noticed the field was gettin’ darn near full up just as the RatDog hit the stage. The unpredictable weather that had given us a bit of light rain earlier that day parted and the skies gave us a beautiful sunset backdrop against the trees.
Regardless of the weather it was clear that the show was going to be smokin’ hot from the start. RatDog threw us straight into the breech kicking off with an entrancing Jack Straw, Cassidy, and Dark Star all three flowed together with Dark Star taking us out the farthest of the three. A down home southern version of Lazy River Road brings us out of our trance. A little weather on the horizon perhaps prompted A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall followed by Looks Like Rain.
Althea and a great version of Ashes and Glass bring us to the Jam in this single set mega show. The jam funks out and gets the audience going as the evening turns to darkness Jay brings the meadow to life with an awesome drum solo. Come Together is always a great festival favorite really gets the crowd going and we bring closure to our night with a Dark Star, Cassidy (reprise) that launches RatDog into a resounding tour ending One More Saturday Night. I barely had enough time to catch my breath in order to sing a long with the Touch of Grey Encore.
Great Crowd, Great Place, Great Show! Thanks Warren and everyone at Wanee!

What a great set that the boys put on at Wanee. Bobby was really the savior for the entire weekend if you ask me. Without the brothers there the Wanee family jam was a little lackluster. But Bobby an
