I can’ t think of a nicer place to start the second leg of RatDog Summer 08 tour. The rain subsided and the clouds parted to welcome RatDog to Hiram, Maine’s Up North Festival. We were pretty far north. In fact for me the theme of the night was a journey into the northern realms.
Nestled amongst the trees there was a great energy surrounding this show. RatDog’s music was the perfect spirit guide under the stars. Feels like a stranger, Casey Jones, Darkstar, and that was just the beginning. A spacey Terrapin Station and a really hot “stuff” jam were the highlights of the night for me.
My recommendation is to load this one up on your favorite portable music device, grab a blanket, head to your favorite star gazing spot. Lay back with a loved one and let the music play out beneath the stars. Enjoy it as it was meant to be enjoyed. Definitely one to own!
