Reviews for The Disco Biscuits: 7/2/2006 High Sierra Music Festival, Quincy, CA

This is one of best HSMF late night shows in its history. And that's saying something because there's nothing like HSMF. Yeah, I was there, and I'm biased. But listen to it and try to argue otherwise...

That save the robots alone is worth the listen....it's so dirty, nasty and dripping with funk. Enjoy

This is the best bisco show with allen i seen. and i have seen 50 with allen. his first show at the tower 12/28/05 and manny others. but if you think to this show in particular i think you will agree with me that this is his best show with the band besides 12/30/06.....sick nastyy and allen's first camp was ridiclous

This is the first show I have downloaded sans Mr. Sammy, and I am impressed. The set starts off with a smoking Highwire into a grooving Run Like Hell. DB then pulls out the big guns: I-man -> Heli. -> I-man -> Heli. -> I-man -> Heli. -> I-man -> Heli. -> I-man. This is some of the best, incendiary-mind-f*ck-jamming I have heard in a long while. The band really illustrates their dexterity and creativity. The sound quality is a B+. At certain points, there is slight distortion, and you can constantly hear the hissing and rumbling of the snare drum in reaction to the bass. The sound anomalies shouldn’t prevent you from purchasing this show, it is too good to pass up on.
