ratdog a living legend, that`s a pretty silly statement. i like them and they have a lot of good material, but they`re still largely a dead cover band. umphrey`s shows have ten times the energy. there really isn`t reason to compare though, they are nothing alike at all.

This was only my second umph show, the first was the one at the Orpheum in March. I would have to say that this show blows the other one out of the water and was is one of the best live shows that I have ever seen.

my 1st umphrey`s show.actully surprised when they put on two sets considering it was summerfest. overall just an awsome show. too bad i couldn`t see ratdog our rusted root. but im glad i stayed for all of it. amazing

Ratdog put on a good show but shame on you for telling people who to go see. People have their own tastes. Umphreys is stealing the hearts of the younger heads. Older heads go see Ratdog, nothing wrong with that. Different strokes for different folks. We have a harder rock generation. I personally went back and forth. Ratdog was sick that night, but UM does jam and this show is BAD ASS! Now I must go download.

This show was great. I am pretty sure that umphrey`s has never said they are a jam band. They call themselves a rock band and thats exactly what they are. The new song they played for the encore was incredible. The whole show was great.
