Reviews for Crowded House: 9/11/2007 Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN

I made the five-hour drive with my two best friends from grade school. The show was awesome, including Pete Yorn and Liam Finn. It was really cool to hear Neil's tribute to Neil Young and the first and only time that Crowded House has done Kare Kare on this tour. The highlight though, had to be the jabbing from Neil to Nick (which you can hear on this great recording). Neil made fun of Nick's "singing Gilbert and Sullivan in the car" and all kinds of other first like the "Nashville Jam" and the choir a cappela performance of "Four Seasons" at the end. I also saw them in Kansas City, and I have down loaded three other shows. This one is by far the best.

The highlight of the night was going to a bar later on Broadway and getting to meet the band, except their fearless leader. I bought beers for Nick, Matt, and Mark and got to chat with Liam for quite a while. Nick told me that the band is going back in the studio some time this spring. I haven't heard anything yet, but I can't wait.

I came to this show all the way from Sarasota, Florida wanting to see Crowded House in this intimate and famed venue thinking that it might have a chance at being something special and it was. A solid performance from the band, Neil brought the audience into it, sharing stories and prompting sing-alongs. Good energy that we all felt. Thanks for doing what you do!

I attended the show, waited impatiently for MONTHS, and finally got to download it the other day. Although nothing can compare to actually being there, I love every second of this soundboard. Just check out the setlist: Opening with Recurring Dream, some great tunes from the new album, and many of my favorites from the original four CH albums. This was by far the best concert I've ever attended thanks to this incredible setlist and the great banter that went on between the band members and with the crowd. The boys have a knack for making their audience feel that the show is made just for them, and that it is not just a night of going through the motions. Thanks, Crowded House, for such an awesome show, and for making it available to your fans!
