David Grisman did not want these released in MP3. Too much time and effort was put into the sound quality to have them compressed and sounding all lossy in MP3 format.
Flac is just like a zipped file, there are plenty of free programs that will unzip into wav in about 2 seconds.

Amazing! I never knew that David Grisman worked with Stephane Grappelli. Is there any chance that this will be available in MP3 rather than Flac?
