This show contains what is probably my most favorite segment/Segway in biscuits history. I wasn’t at this show, but I attended about 20 shows between 09 and 10. The Very Moon > Shem-rah boo can’t be described with enough superlatives. Throughout the very moon Magner uses the classiest tones on his synths, switching from a spacey clav to organ, and interplaying between the two. Barber is on point and thematically playing off Magner perfectly. Brownie is in the pocket plodding along with a triumphant and galavanting bassline. The jam comes to a mind blowing peak that drops perfectly into an energized Shem-rah boo. Everyone is locked in and the results are fantastic. 13 years later and I still come back to this consistently. If I introduce anyone to the biscuits it starts with this segment. It captures all the different playing styles and tones of the band that really shows the full range of what they’re capable of.
