EASY RALPHIEEEE!!! Agreed, the side balcony was the best seat in the house, overlooking both the crowd and the stage. The band was obviously excited during the "opening ceremony" of their winter tour, which led right into Suitcases (an funky and incredible opener). Both the band and the crowd put off powerful energy throughout the night, which made me feel like The National was on the brink of exploding. Molluskunk, Nematode, Juggernaut, Bellwether, and 128 were my favorites of the night, leading into an encore that left the crowd dancing out the doors into the street where snow was falling around a couple guys slammin' heady beats on buckets :)

This show was killer. so much energy. I got there in time to see Toubab and i'm really happy that I did, they put on a fun show as well. the national is a great place to see a show, especially lotus. The second half of Nematode was the highlight of my night along with the interesting debut of Lead Pipe. I danced my ass off on the balcony the entire time. spiritualize was awesome too with the "kids" teaser to top it off. Great night, great show.
