Reviews for Roger Daltrey: 7/9/2011 Royal Centre, Nottingham, UK

I thought the night was truely amazing! The technical hitches mentioned previously didn't spoil the evening in any way, in fact, the way Roger handled it was natural and it allowed him to 'chat' a little to the audience.

I have only seen The Who perform once back in the late eighties, as I am in my early fourties and haven't had many other opportunities of seeing them. Roger Daltrey is my true rock icon and to see him right in front of me (we were on row C of the Stalls) performing songs I have listened to for hours on end was hard to describe - it was awesome. I am so glad I got the opportunity to see him again and only wished I had arranged a 'meet and greet' which I wasn't aware of until the night. I would have so loved to have met him in person.

Keep rockin Roger - you are truely great. Can't wait to see you next time!

Superb show despite the gremlins! To hear Tommy live in its entirety was a privilege. Roger Daltrey still has a great rock 'n' roll voice and he was surrounded by some fine musicians. Nottingham audiences are notoriously fickle but the audience was won over.

Great show... gremlins didn't affect the show at all. The band were superb Young Man Blues was awesome.

Nottingham audiences can be a bit slow to be engaged but by See Me Feel Me they were rocking and Tommy was a triumph, how Roger does it aged 67 with an ongoing throat problem is quite incredible.. he was born to rock and will keep going 'til he drops. Three generations of my family attended!

It wasn't The Who but that doesn't matter a jot.

I first paid 50 pence to see The Who at Manchester Odeon in 1971.. 40 years on and 30+ shows seen, including a couple of Pete's solo gigs, this was simply quality.. read the Nottingham Evening post review ... adjectives such as stunning, triumph and this final quote says it all. "... delivered some of the finest rocvk songs ever written and ended in triumph"

I just hope that PT manges to find a solution to his hearing problems to give us all at least one more last hurrah!

Firstly in response to Kevin Cooper:
Were you in the same place as me? - Roger and the band were on fire!!!

Okay so there was some technical hitches but when performing live these things can happen and Roger dealt with it tremendously.

I cant wait until until next time, keep on doing what you are doing Roger and you can guarantee I will be there to see you perform again.

Having followed The Who now for well over 30 years all I can say about Saturday night at the Nottingham Royal Centre is....Shambles!

I really enjoyed the Nottingham show in spite of the technical hitches. I felt as though we (the audience) were all included and that would have been lost in the Arena. Roger rocks! I do feel though that the visuals could have been more obvious in helping to tell the story to those unfamiliar with it (or to remind us oldies!) Thanks for a great show.
