Having enjoyed Crooked Still so very much since "discovering" them at Grey Fox `06, I ordered the live CD as soon as I heard of it, and couldn`t be happier. It`s crystal clear recording and exellent rendition of thier material is even better than I remembered the show that possesed me to march right over to the merch tent. These guys are going places...

I discovered Crooked Hill at this Grey Fox Festival. I`d never heard of them before and didn`t know what to expect, and they blew away the entire crowd. I bought their two CDs at the show have been hooked ever since. I just purchased this live performance and the sound is incredible, about 1000% better than I expected. Sorry to pile on the superlatives, but this group is amazing. Highly recommended!

WOW! I can`t stop playing this one! These kids really know what to do with this music. They are such a tight, cohesive group. Love the Hank Williams cover and Ain`t No Grave is ROCKIN. I ordered the new CD as soon as I heard this. I was hooked when I first heard them but this set kicks it up a notch! I can`t wait to hear them live. Thanks for the download FestivalLink! Hope they are at GreyFox next year.

This set captures Crooked Still’s unique sound (think: blues, gospel, and bluegrass with a little rag thrown in) and more importantly, one of their best performances yet. They’ll bring you down to the bayou with DiMario’s soul-filled backbeat, and make you shed a tear with O’Donovan’s rendition of Hank Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Even though they shy away from typical bluegrass instrumentation, their arrangements put a new spin on standard traditionals and appeal to old and new bluegrass fans alike. You know you’ve bought a great set when you can’t bear to skip a single song, and believe me, Crooked Still is worth every penny. Great music. Great sound. Great set.
